ACEOs – Mini Prints
I have been asked several times if I offer ACEO’s in my shop. They are basically mini prints and measure 2.5×3.5inches. They are like fine art trading cards! You can hang them on your wall or put them in a book or pretty much do anything with them that you want!
I have 9 different ones in my shop right now (one of which is the picture above). You will have to keep a look out if I add more! 😉 haha
Aside from the ACEO’s nothing too new has been going on. I have been busy trying to get ready for my Craft fair thats in about a week and a half. I might be doing a second one as well on Dec 5th at a School in Denver.
Mmmm, Wine
Hoooot Pink!
Going Back To Blogger
I am going back to blogspot for my main blg, but I will import my blog posts from there to here!! 🙂 Its www.ameliakayphotography.blogspot.com .
My shop on Etsy has been going well. I love selling over there and I am still so excited that there are people out there who are willing to invest their heard earned money on my photography. I am extremely thankful for each and every sale!!
I am working on making changes to my shop. I have a few ideas that I want to work on over the next few weeks. One was to offer more than 8×8’s and 8×10’s. So, I have starting offering larger prints!
I hope to get a larger blog following on here. I hope to offer a blog give away sometime in the next few months, so keep an eye out for that! 🙂
Also, this past week I was so thrilled to be on The Pioneer Womans site. If you don’t know who she is, she is a beautiful and very funny woman with a popular blog. She has a cooking section, a photography section (!!!), and a home and garden section. I just love her blog! But, she features some fall bokeh (picks with a blurry background) on her site. You can find me here….towards the bottom! Its my Aspen Leaves In The Wind print!!
Ok, enough of that! 🙂 I had thrown in a few of my newest prints that I have added to my shop. I took these last week at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I love that place!! Just love it! Its different every single time I go and its always so beautiful!
Thank you for reading and I hope to see many more of you again!!
Bamboo In Abstract
Several months ago while at the Botanic Gardens here in Denver, I wanted to see if could get any neat pictures of the bamboo without focusing. I wanted the blurry, out of focus effect. I wanted to have a dream like feel to it.   These two prints below are the results.
I enjoy trying my hand at abstract photography.Â

Back from Vacation and Lots of New Prints!
We had a wonderful vacation at the start of the month. We went on a 5 night cruise to Key West, Cozumel, Mexico and Belize City, Belize. They were beautiful places with the most amazing colored water I have ever seen!Â
Of course, I had to take the opportunity to try and take some pictures for my shop! I did get some and I have more to try and edit.Â
This first shot was taken in Key West. We did the Conch Train tour around the Island. While on the train, we passed by these birds and I had to take a shot! The sun is shinning behind the birds and phone polls.
While, this starfish wasn’t from our vacation, it reminds me of the beaches we went to:
Â
While in Key West, we bought some sea urchin shells. They are so pretty and delicate. This is not what they look like though when they still have all their spines!!  Thankfully these are spine free!!
My husband and I went swimming at a beach in Belize City and he was unfortunate enough to step on a sea urchin! He had about a half of a dozen spines in his heel. It wasn’t fun or pretty. But, it wasn’t too bad either compared to other sea urchin stings we have seen on the internet.
This is a peir in Cozumel, Mexico at Paradise Beach. Yes, it was a bit of paradise!
These wood carved birds where hanging in an outdoor market in Key West
Those were all the vacation photos so far. These other two are of a beautiful orange/red gerbera daisy. So bright!
If you have made it this far, thank you!! you can check out more of my prints at www.ameliakayphotography.etsy.com. Also, I am going to have a sale this weekend!! starting the 17th through the 20th I will have a buy one get one free sale. There are more details in my shop announcement! Come by and check it out!
Fruit!!
A group of photographers and me have decided to start doing weekly photography challenges. The point if it is not to see who takes the best picture but to broaden our creativity. So far it has been a lot of fun.
Last week, we did some food photography. I took some pictures of some pears. I had never done food photography before it was a lot of fun.Â
